Radiesse – Bio Remodelling

Radiesse – Skin Booster

Radiesse is made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA), microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. It is a biocompatible substance that mimics the body’s natural calcium found in bones and teeth. Radiesse works at a cellular level to enhance skin health and vitality for your face, neck and hands; by addressing both senescent and quiescent cells.

How does it work?

Radiesse goes beyond surface-level enhancements. It works at the cellular level to improve skin health and resilience—addressing both senescent and quiescent cells:

Senescent cells are aged or damaged skin cells that no longer divide, yet release inflammatory substances; that contribute to visible ageing. Radiesse helps combat these effects by stimulating fresh collagen production, encouraging a more youthful skin environment.

Quiescent cells are dormant cells with the potential to aid in tissue repair. Radiesse activates these cells, prompting regeneration and enhancing skin elasticity, firmness, and texture.

Rediscover healthy skin from within—a revolutionary duel action injectable that creates immediate subtle lift, whilst stimulating your body’s natural collagen production to rejuvenate skin from the inside out.

Treatment Approach

To optimize distribution and precision, Radiesse is diluted with saline, allowing it to spread more evenly across the skin’s superficial layers. After injection, the gel carrier gradually dissolves over time, while a firm collagen network forms over approximately six months—helping rebuild your skin’s structure naturally.

Clinically Proven Results

In a clinical study of 117 patients, 78.6% showed a visible improvement in facial wrinkles and folds six months after treatment. Results may vary, but most patients experience smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin after just one session.

A note about hands; because they often are overlooked!

As we grow older, the hands can also lose volume and firmness due to fat depletion, skin
thinning, and tissues losing elasticity.

Hands are particularly susceptible to UV damage in New Zealand which can accelerate the signs of ageing. This sometimes-premature progression can cause bones, tendons, joints, and veins in the hands to become more prominent, which can give the hands an aged or frail appearance.

Radiesse has significant effects on smoothing the skin’s surface, and stimulating tissue
rejuvenation.

    FAQ's

Radiesse is classed as a Dermal Filler. However, it can be used as a bio-stimulator for skin rejuvenation purposes to target cellular ageing. Face Time Aesthetics does not currently offer Radiesse as a filler.

With the 1:1 dilution, results typically last between 6 to 12 months, but can vary depending on individual factors. Collagen stimulation may continue to improve skin quality even after the calcium hydroxylapatite breaks down.

To maintain your results, a secondary treatment may be recommended.

A good skincare routine and sun protection can help prolong the benefits of your treatment.

If you are looking to enhance your facial aesthetic, discussing other aspects of aging or beautification will allow you to understand the options available to you.

Yes, Radiesse can be combined with other injectable treatments. Combination therapy is always recommended to combat the signs of aging.

Radiesse is suitable for all skin types. Typically when you start to see signs of skin aging, advanced skin treatments will be of benefit.

Signs of aging can begin to appear in your late 20s to early 30s. Common initial signs include:

    • Fine Lines: Often around the eyes and mouth.
    • Loss of Elasticity: Skin may start to feel less firm.
    • Dryness: Decreased moisture retention can lead to a dull complexion.

Uneven Skin Tone: Sun exposure, and environmental factors can cause pigmentation changes.

Radiesse may not be suitable for everyone. Here are some contraindications:

    1. Allergies: Individuals with a known allergy to any component of Radiesse, including calcium hydroxylapatite or lidocaine, should avoid the treatment.
    2. Active Skin Conditions: Those with active infections, skin irritations, or inflammatory skin conditions in the treatment area should wait until these issues are resolved.
    3. Autoimmune Disorders: Individuals with autoimmune diseases that affect skin healing may be advised against using Radiesse.
    4. Pregnancy or Breastfeeding: Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding hasn’t been established, so it’s generally recommended to avoid treatment during this time.
    5. Blood Clotting Disorders: Those with a history of blood clotting disorders or who are on blood thinners may be at higher risk for bruising and complications.
    6. Recent Surgery or Procedures: If you’ve had recent facial surgery or other injectable treatments, consult with your practitioner about the appropriate waiting period before receiving Radiesse.
    7. Age Restrictions: While Radiesse is commonly used in adults, it is not recommended for individuals under 18.
